2th for Pietersma in Benelux cup!

Bertrix - The first Beneluxcup race is already behind us.
The race was organized near the French boarder in a small town called Bertrix
The BeOne/Chainreaction team did well with a nice and strong podium position for Jelmer Pietersma.
For the start the racers were welcomed by a heavy snowstorm,so we can say that the weather circumstances were far from good . In spite of the weather the start was right on time and from the beginning Jelmer was in the lead. Till the end he was fighting for the victory but had to except that Davy Coenen was the final winner but with a strong 2th place he gained important UCI points.
Hans struggled for 3 laps to get used to the cold circumstances before he found his pace and from then was moving strongly forward finally finishing at a solid 4th place With this result he was the first finishing young rider.
Tim had a strong start and went into the race after the first corner within the first 10. During the race he managed to hang on and was constantly around position 6 however was passed by 2 riders in the last lap finishing at a good 8 place.
Rick was with his team within the leading group in the beginning of the race which resulted in a strong BeOne/Chainreaction presence. In the second half he lost some ground and crossed the line at 12th place.
For the team a great result which is giving good starting positions for the race in Oldezaal next week.
